Xiaomi 18 rumors: slight battery bump, snapdragon 8 elite, 200 mp cameras
Xiaomi is reportedly sticking to a similar battery size for its upcoming flagship, the Xiaomi 18, with a rumored 7,200 mAh capacity, just 200 mAh more than the Xiaomi 17.
Xiaomi 18 specs and rumored features
Despite the modest battery bump, the Xiaomi 18 is expected to pack a punch with Qualcomm's latest 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, the same chip destined for the Xiaomi 18 Pro.
Other rumored specs include a 6.4-inch 2K display with slim bezels, SuperPixel display Technology, and a dual 200 MP camera setup with a 3x periscope telephoto lens.
Notably, the standard Xiaomi 18 is expected to omit the rear display found on Pro models, a feature that will remain exclusive to the higher-end variants.

If the rumors hold true, the Xiaomi 18 Pro will boast an even more substantial 8,500mAh battery, a significant upgrade that puts it ahead of most flagship smartphones in terms of capacity.
However, the Pro's larger battery won't translate to faster charging speeds, with support for the same 100W wired and 50W wireless charging as the standard model.
Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 18 series in September, with the new phones set to compete directly with Apple's iPhone 18 Pro lineup.
