Whatsapp unveils whatsapp plus, a premium experience for 2.49 euros
WhatsApp is testing a new premium subscription called WhatsApp Plus, introducing features designed for a more personalized experience within the app.
Exclusive stickers and customization options
The new plan, currently limited to a small group of beta testers on Android, marks an important milestone in the messaging service's evolution while maintaining its core free offering.
WhatsApp Plus subscribers will gain access to new exclusive sticker packs and be able to choose from 18 additional colors to customize the app's theme, allowing them to swap the classic green for tones like blue, purple, or gold.

Icon options and chat management
Another notable change is the ability to select from 14 distinct icon styles, ranging from minimalist to more elaborate designs with visual effects. Paid users will also be able to pin up to 20 chats to the top of their list, compared to the current three-conversation limit.
The premium plan also includes exclusive call tones and advanced features for managing chat lists, such as applying mass notification or theme configurations to multiple contacts and groups at once.
This aims to offer greater control over the daily experience within the app. Subscriptions will renew automatically each month, but can be canceled at any time from the app store. Some users may also get a free trial period to assess the benefits of the service.

Availability and pricing
WhatsApp Plus is currently in testing and only available to a reduced number of Android users, but is expected to roll out to more accounts in the coming weeks. The price for the new premium service is estimated at 2.49 euros per month in Europe, although this figure may vary slightly before its global launch.
