This early configuration boasts a 2.78GHz prime core, paired with four 2.88GHz performance cores, a 2.30GHz low-power core, and four 2.40GHz efficiency cores, all orchestrated by the Xclipse 970 GPU. While a single-core score isn't setting the world on fire, it’s undeniable: Samsung’s building momentum.

The Exynos 2700 is slated for production on an improved 2nm process, inheriting the advancements from the 2nm Exynos 2600. Samsung’s aiming for a 12% performance uplift and a 25% reduction in power consumption – a significant leap. Crucially, the company is reportedly foregoing external GPU assistance, relying entirely on its own expertise with the Xclipse 970.

Qualcomm remains the benchmark

Despite this progress, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s continued reliance on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors – a strategy employed across the S25 series – highlights the lingering skepticism surrounding Samsung’s in-house efforts. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Apple’s upcoming A20 Pro continue to dictate the flagship performance landscape. Samsung needs this chip to truly deliver.
