Samsung's galaxy z fold 8 wide leaks through one ui 9 software

Samsung's internal security measures aimed at preventing leaks seem to be failing miserably. The company has once again leaked an unannounced product, this time the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, through a recent One UI 9 software build.

Official images confirm rumors

Android Authority discovered the images of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide within the software. The back of the Z Fold 8 Wide matches unofficial renders, featuring a short and wide design with a dual main camera setup.

The design is unsurprisingly similar to the Galaxy S25 Edge, confirming earlier rumors that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 won't feature significant design changes over the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

However, Samsung is rumored to be improving the Galaxy Z Fold 8's specs, including a larger 5,000 mAh battery and 45W fast-charging support.

This foray into wide foldables comes as a response to the rumored iPhone Ultra, which was supposed to be Apple's first widely available device with that unorthodox shape. However, Huawei launched its own wide foldable, the Pura X Max, in China last month, which is unlikely to make it outside of the country.
