Rufus 4.14 beta brings major improvements for windows 11 installs

Rufus, the popular USB bootable media creation tool, has released its 4.14 Beta version with a slew of significant updates for Windows 11 users.

New features and customization options

The highlight of this latest beta is the ability to disable bundled Microsoft apps like Teams, Outlook, and Copilot when creating a bootable media for Windows 11 installation. This feature has been inspired by other options like hardware requirement removal, local profile creation, and BitLocker deactivation.

Rufus now also allows for silent installations. The 4.14 Beta can automatically detect the first disk and install Windows 11 without requiring user confirmation.

Other notable changes

Additionally, Rufus 4.14 Beta resolves issues with Windows To Go, offering new suggestions in dialog boxes and improved compatibility with Bazzite.

Another major update is the limited support for extracting UEFI El-Torito images, a feature that will be particularly useful for users with Dell's installation setup.

The tool also fixes problems when attempting to use an image on the target drive and makes the installation process much simpler overall.

Further, Rufus 4.14 Beta tackles compatibility issues with local accounts that often began or ended with whitespace. Users can now access all the new features by downloading the official beta from GitHub or the standard Rufus application.
