Poco X8 Power Boasts Massive 10,000 mAh Battery

The Poco X8 Power, a new smartphone from Xiaomi’s subsidiary, has been announced in India with a standout feature: a 10,000 mAh Battery. Despite not being officially sold in the US, the phone offers a significant battery capacity, exceeding that of flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Battery Capacity and Charging

The Poco X8 Power’s 10,000 mAh battery is a key selling point, particularly for users prioritizing long battery life. It also supports 100W wired charging, significantly faster than Samsung’s approximately 45W charging speeds. The phone can also charge other devices at 27W.

Design and Specifications

Despite the large battery, the Poco X8 Power maintains a relatively slim profile at 8.65 mm and weighs 229 grams. It features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor and offers up to 12 GB of RAM.

Xiaomi’s Strategy

Xiaomi is reportedly exploring moving away from Snapdragon and Dimensity chips, opting for its own Xring O3 processor. The Poco X8 Power’s focus on battery life aligns with Xiaomi’s broader strategy of offering value-driven smartphones with competitive features.
