Google’s aggressive trade-in offers for the Pixel 11 Pro have sparked debate among potential buyers, with a recent survey revealing the biggest sticking points. A poll of 543 respondents indicated that concerns centered primarily around memory and cost, mirroring the scrutiny faced by the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

RAM Concerns Dominate

Nearly half (46.59%) of respondents cited the reduction of RAM on the entry-level 256GB Pixel 11 Pro to 12GB as the most significant issue. This downgrade pushed users to upgrade to the 512GB model to secure 16GB of RAM.

Price and Specs Remain Key

Another 34.62% expressed dissatisfaction with paying an additional $100 for a smaller RAM upgrade, highlighting the overall price-to-spec ratio as a major consideration for 81.21% of participants.

Thermometer and Modem Less of a Concern

The previously highlighted ‘thermometer’ feature, a point of contention on Reddit, ranked third with only 10.68% of respondents citing it as a deterrent. A smaller percentage (8.1%) expressed reservations about the new modem.

Underlying Math Concerns

Analysis suggests the core issue isn't a specific feature, but rather Google’s approach to specifications – offering less RAM for a similar price compared to competitors like the Galaxy S26 Ultra. A discount doesn’t alter the fundamental specifications users will experience for years to come.
