OnePlus is about to drop a phone that laughs at wall sockets. The Nord 6—basically the Turbo 6 in global clothing—will reportedly hit shelves the first week of April packing a 9,000mAh cell, 80W wired charging and enough juice to reverse-charge your friend’s dying iPhone at 27W. Translation: three-day road trip, no cable.

Same guts, new tax

Leaker Yogesh Brar confirms the timetable and slips in the part nobody wanted: the price is going up. The Nord 5 started at £399; expect the 6 to bump past £450, maybe £470, once April rolls around. Blame RAMageddon—DDR5 quotes have jumped 18 % since Christmas—or just blame OnePlus for finally giving mid-range buyers a spec sheet that reads like a flagship fever dream: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, 165Hz AMOLED, 50MP main shooter. The 2MP decorative sensor survives, unfortunately.

OnePlus hasn’t confirmed global battery parity. The Chinese Turbo 6 ships the full 9,000mAh slab; regulatory filings in Europe and India list a still-monstrous 7,800mAh. Either way you’re getting more milliamp-hours than a Galaxy S26 Ultra and an iPhone 17e combined.

Us shoppers need a passport

Don’t bother refreshing the OnePlus US store in April. History says Nord phones land stateside three to four months later—if at all. Importers will tax you another $60–$80, pushing the real street price past $600. At that point the Pixel 10a starts looking tempting, until you remember Google’s battery still taps out before dinner.

The upshot: if you live anywhere OnePlus actually sells the Nord 6, you’re about to own the endurance crown for under five hundred bucks. Everyone else gets to watch from afar while their Galaxy A57 gasps for power at 3 p.m.
