Motorola Launches Moto Watch Ultra: A Surprisingly Solid Smartwatch

Motorola has officially launched the Moto Watch Ultra, a new smartwatch that’s surprisingly distinct from the Apple Watch Ultra. It’s a true Motorola watch through and through, featuring a circular design and a crafted arched display glass.

Design and Features

The Moto Watch Ultra is available in a single 46mm stainless-steel case. It feels comfortably sized, resembling a medium-sized watch rather than a bulky device. Users can choose between Black or Silver finishes, each accompanied by a unique strap pairing: the Silver variant includes a green silicone and brown leather strap, while the Black option features a black silicone band and a black leather strap with red stitching.

Standard 22mm watchbands are also compatible, offering extensive customization options.

Display and Durability

The 1.5-inch pOLED display boasts a peak brightness of 2,700 nits and supports always-on mode. It’s protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The watch is IP68 and 5 ATM rated, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, dust resistance, and decent scratch resistance.

Hardware and Software

At its core, the Moto Watch Ultra utilizes a Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor, supported by an always-on co-processor. This combination aims to optimize performance for various tasks, including voice processing and AI assistance.
