Apple's isolation mode: boosting iphone security for high-risk users
Apple has quietly rolled
out a crucial security feature for high-risk users: Isolation Mode. This powerful tool drastically limits your iphone's functionality to prevent cyberattacks and data breaches. What is isolation mode and who should use it?
Isolation Mode is designed to eliminate entry points that hackers often exploit. It's intended for journalists, activists, politicians, and anyone whose digital privacy is paramount. If you frequently handle sensitive information, store passwords or financial data, or anticipate targeted cyber threats, Isolation Mode is for you.

How does it impact your iphone's functionality?
When enabled, Isolation Mode restricts several core features:
• In Messages, most attachments are automatically blocked.
• FaceTime calls are limited to people you've previously called.
• Web browsing uses more limited technologies, reducing the attack surface from Safari.
• The iphone no longer automatically connects to unsecured Wi-Fi networks, and wired connections to accessories are blocked when the device is locked.
You can, however, add specific exceptions in iOS settings for trusted apps and websites.

How to enable isolation mode on your iphone:
1. Back up your iphone.
2. Open Settings, then scroll down to Privacy & Security.
3. Tap on
